E.B.S. program

EBS – EUROPEAN BUSINESS SEMESTER - 2010 / 2011

Participants

This 12-week EBS program is of special interest to those students and professionals who are interested in learning about the European markets, learn French and/or Chinese, and experience a cultural break in the lovely Bretagne region in the west of France.

Dates

Three alternatives for the school-year 2010-2011:

Fall semester: September 13, 2010 – December 11, 2010. Register before June 30th, 2010.

Spring semester: January 10, 2011 – April 8, 2011. Register before October 31st, 2010.

Summer semester: June 6, 2011 – August 26, 2011.Register before April 1st, 2011.

Business courses

All to be conducted in English:

-The European institutions

-The European Media

-The European cultures

-Management in Europe

-Marketing in Europe

-Financing in Europe

-International trade in Europe

-Doing business in Europe

These 8 courses will be given over a period of 13 weeks (12 weeks of class).

Each course takes 12 hours, for a total of 96 hours.

Each course has an academic value of 2 US credit / 4 ECTS credits.

This program grants 16 US credits / 32 ECTS credits.

Language courses

Our EBS program includes intensive language courses in French and/or Chinese.

Eight hours per week over 12 weeks = 96 hours/semester.

This language course has a value of 8 US credits / 16 ECTS credits.

It can be broken into 6 weeks of French and 6 weeks of Chinese.

Internships and business visits

We will conduct visits to French companies in the agro, fishing and tourism areas.

An internship in France and/or China is optional.

Diploma

A Certificate with the academic credits will be granted.

Networking

You will have the opportunity to network with fellow comrades, teachers, business leaders, artists, sportspersons and politicians.

Tuition

US$ 5,900 for the business and language courses.

It does not include the lodging and transportation expenses.

Payment

US$ 2,900 when the application is approved. US$ 3,000 when the program starts.

Lodging

ISUGA will assist the participants on their needs for lodging.

The lodging cost ranges from US$ 400 to US$ 600 per month.

Food and car rental

Cafeterias are readily available; a daily budget of US$ 16 should be sufficient.

You must be at least 21 years old to rent a car, and have a valid driving license of more than one year.

Visa

The students must ask the French consulate in their countries about the visa requirements. As soon as the Application for Admission is approved, and the US$ 2,900 payment is received, we will issue a Certificate of Admission to facilitate the rendering of the visa.
